Shady Hollow is another Southwest Austin neighborhood
close to good Austin ISD Schools, including Bailey Middle School
within the community. Although it is conveniently situated about
20 minutes Southwest of Downtown Austin, Shady Hollow maintains
its peaceful small town feel.
The Homeowners' Association is very strong within the community
and many of the children join the swim team of Shady Hollow. The
swimming facility at Capistrano Park is one of the popular attractions
in the community and also includes a tree-shaded picnic area and
a lighted basketball court.
The neighborhood residents routinely organize outdoor activities
for everyone to join in and have fun. To prove their oneness with

happenings through their monthly newsletter called Shady Hollow
Highlights.
The children living in both Shady Hollow and Circle C Ranch attend
the famous Bowie High School, a highly recognized school with
a Blue Ribbon School rating. There are newer schools in the area
including Baranoff Elementary School and Bailey Middle School.
High School graduates can continue their education in the University
of Texas, only a few minutes drive form Southwest Austin, or any
of the other dozen higher education campuses in the Austin area.
The convenience of short commutes creates more family bonding
time even if the children are already in their college years.
Southwest Austin’s Shady Hollow and Circle C communities
are excellent neighborhoods within Southwest Austin all over the
